Ariel is the famous Walt Disney red haired mermaid. Her character is based on Hans Christian Andersen’s title character of “The Little Mermaid” story. Similar to other female Disney characters, Ariel is also a princess, but of an underwater kingdom. She longs for a life of a human and falls in love with Prince Eric, who she saves from a shipwreck.
