Snow White came to life in the Walt Disney movie back in 1937. Her character was of course based on that of the princess from the famous fairy tale. Not only was Snow White the first ever Disney Princess, but she is also the first female cartoon character with a star on the Walk of Fame.

The Disney princess, Snow White is one of the dearest of all the Disney Princesses and after her appearance in one of Walt Disney’s cartoons in the mid 1990s, the character has gone on to gain popularity with people of all ages. Snow White made her premiere in the fairytale, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” after Walt Disney with the help of his 600 staffs.
The extraordinary Walt Disney was a super storyteller and cartoonist and in creating the Snow White character and the many stories that came with the Walt Disney cartoons, he employed the services of the best artists around and had them trained specially for the purpose. He also ensured they worked in a very conducive environment that could be likened to a college campus.
Like most of the other Walt Disney cartoons, the story of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” came from the fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. The tale’s actual title was “Snow White”. The people behind it, namely Wilhelm Grimm and Jacob Grimm were German academics, responsible for the idea behind many other fairy tales like “Cinderella”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Rapunzel”, and “Little Red Riding Hood”. They were also behind other works which include “Hansel and Gretel”, “The Frog Prince”, and “Rumpelstiltskin” among others.
The world famous Snow White is a beautiful princess with black hair and a red bow in it. She puts on a dress that comes with a yellow skirt and blue bodice with some red features on her shoulders.
The story behind Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs centers on her wicked stepmother, the jealous queen and the Magic mirror which is asked for the fairest one of all. The magic mirror replies that the queen has ordered that Snow White must be killed and this result in her fleeing from the queen’s evil plan to prevent the queen from killing her.
In her quest to escape from the queen, Snow White comes in contact with seven dwarfs and becomes friends with them. The dwarfs were named Grumpy Sleepy, Sneezy, Doc, Dopey, and Bashful. Adriana Caselotti performed Snow White’s voice in the film.
Even after years of making her first appearance as a cartoon character, Snow White continues to remain loved by many cartoon lovers and her character is one that will remain in the memories of many people for years to come.
Snow White is actually one of the most loved and sweetest characters among the many from the Walt Disney cartoon characters.
